Rugby World Cup Kick Off

Rugby World Cup is here and everyone at Chase Bridge is so excited. To kick off the tournament classes have been learning about the World Cup’s host country, Japan. We spoke to children about what they have been doing.

The year 3 children were very excited about the Rugby World Cup!

Jack from 3J was asked what team he is supporting, he replied “I am supporting England and Ireland”. Erica and Juliette from class 3B said “We’re probably going to watch all of it”. Beth from class 3J said “I hope Wales win”.

There were also some whole class teams and Shazad and Eva told us that 3M were supporting Fiji. This class has also done some Japanese artwork.

Year 3 are looking forward to the Rugby World Cup and are having an excellent time learning about Japan by creating Manga self portraits.

Charis and Jemima in Year 4 said they had been taking part in quizzes and learning about calligraphy. They both said they would be supporting South Africa and would like to play in the future.

Jospeh in 5B was showing his support for Ireland and believed they were the number one team. while Fraser in 5W thinks New Zealand will win but is supporting England.

Year 6 were taking parts in lots of fun activities such as number challenges about the Japanese stadiums, naming the country flags and learning about the countries. In 6M and 6B, they have been making poems about the core values of Rugby.
