Summer Reading Challenge 2019

We decided to interview some children about how they feel about this challenge

How do you feel about the summer reading challenge; what’s your favourite book?

Rhys in 5D said, “I think it gives you something to do during the summer and it’s a fun way to educate children that don’t like reading. I do it every year without fail! My favourite book is Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief.”

Emmie in 5W stated, “It is a good idea to encourage children to read more. My favourite book was the Harry Potter Series.”

How to start:

  1. Make sure you have a library card to access all the books you need. If you don’t, go to your local library and sign up for free. It takes only 5 minutes!
  2. Once you have done that, just pop along and select six appropriate books for your age, which you will read with delight.
  3. Last but definitely not least, be sure to have fun and enjoy reading!
