On the 18th of June children from year 4 and year 5 went on a mind blowing trip to Crockford Bridge Farm.

We picked strawberries and rhubarb. It was so muddy we all needed boots or trainers. Our strawberries were out of this world!

When we started to pick rhubarb it started to rain so we had our lunch under a tree and on a picnic blanket.

Here is some top tips on how to pick rhubarb!
- Twist it from the bottom
- Don’t touch the green leaves
- Always wash the rhubarb before you eat.
- Make sure it is red /pink (not green)
- Make sure YOU wash your hands after you pick it
Have you picked your own fruit and veg before or do you grow your own? Let us know in the comments below.
