Magical Land Writing Competition

Do you like fantasy? Do you like magic? We have a magical competition for you to be involved in.

After so many fantastic entries to our last writing competition we are launching our next writing challenge.

Instead of a theme, this writing competition is based around this magical photo taken in our school garden.

We have so many questions we want you to answer through your writing.

Who lives in this Fairyland? What else is left to be constructed? How did it get here? Why is it here?

This competition is about writing and it can be anything inspired by this photo.

We want to read your:

  • stories
  • poems
  • fairy-tales
  • diary entries from a construction worker

It could be a non fiction piece:

  • instructions on how to build your own fairyland
  • a non chronological report about the magical beings that live there.

We are sure you all have so many more wonderful ideas, these are just a few to get you started.

This spellbinding competition starts today and ends on Friday 21st June so that gives you two weeks to get writing!

To enter your piece must be no more then 500 words long or one side of A4.

You can type your entry and send it via email to info@chasebridge.richmond.sch.uk If you prefer to hand write it these entries can be given to Mrs Major in 4M.

Winners will be announced shortly afterwards and all winners will have their work published on the school blog.

We can’t wait to read your amazing work!

If you want to be inspired read the winning entries from our last competition.
