Thursday 7th March marked World Book Day and Chase Bridge celebrated their love of reading by dressing up as their favourite book characters.
The theme of this year’s World Book Day is ‘Share A Story’. Children dressed up in costumes such as Horrid Henry, Harry Potter and Willy Wonka.
Year 2-5 were able to enjoy a visit from the author Laura Ellen Anderson and you can read an interview with her here.

Have a look through some of the images from the day.
In conclusion. World Book Day was a success at promoting and celebrating reading of all types of books. Even though, the day has ended we should continue to read and enjoy books daily as this will help as develop as readers and writers.
If you have any book suggestions or reviews please share them in the comments below.
