On the 10th of January 2019 a lucky  group of Chase Bridge children had a rather exciting visit to the Twickenham rugby ground to meet a couple of very important people.

To celebrate the Rugby World Cup in Japan, children from Year 6 were honoured to meet the Prime Minister, Theresa May and the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe.

As part of the event, the children were able to go onto the rugby grounds at Twickenham Stadium and welcome the Prime Minsters to the local area. To mark the occasion the children gave the Japanese Prime Minister a gift of a rugby ball.

Meeting two Prime Ministers is an incredible experience and speaking to the children involved we were able to find out how excited they were.
β€˜It was exciting due to the fact that I met them in life rather than on TV.’ Said Jeremy.

Let us know in the comments if you have been to Japan and what it was like. Also tell us what you are looking forward to about the Rugby World Cup.
