Did you know that the average typing speed for an adult is 40 word per minute?
Touch typing is the fastest way to write so here are some top tips.
The important things to remember are:
■ Use the correct fingers
■ There’s no need to rush!
■ Always rest your wrists on the desk.
You should take a rest, and shake your hands and arms to relax your muscles if you get tired.
Most importantly don’t look at your hands. Knowing where the keys are should become part of your memory. Perhaps cover up your hands when you are learning so you’re not tempted to look.
Touch typing is an excellent skill to learn and one that you could practise at home.
