Monday 11th November was a day of sadness, hurt and remembrance as year 6 went over to Knellar Hall to remember those who has fallen for us.
With help from the Military School of Music, the unforgettable ceremony began. At exactly 11am, the two minute silence was held as the famous trumpet piece was played. After some prayers and hymns were sung for the dead, one child from each school went up and read a poem or piece of literature related to the Armistice Day.

From Chase Bridge it was Aarush from 6B with ‘ Praise For the Doomed Youth.’ Everyone was respectful and Twickenham Academy even gave a wreath of poppies. It was a very sad day that shall never be forgotten.
We spoke to children in 6M about the day.
Aarush told us that he enjoyed the music, songs and poems.
Amy said “I enjoyed the music they were very talented.”
