Top Book Fair Reads

You might have noticed that the Book Fair has arrived at Chase Bridge this week. With many of us excited to spend our World Book Day vouchers, we spoke to Mrs Golding about the best books to spend our money on.

Here are her top picks:

This book builds up each time and just gets funnier and funnier. It looks at rhyming words and has lovely pictures. Whether you read it with an adult or by yourself, this books is great for all ages.

Perfect for children in Year 5 and 6 – The Return of the Railway Children by Lou Kuenzler

Set in WW2 this sequel to The Railway Children sees the child, Roberta become an Aunt. In this book, we want to find out what will happen to The Railway Children. If you have read the Railway Children before you might notice that this book isn’t written by E. Nesbit but instead by Lou Kuenzler who wrote the introduction to The Railway Children. The real question of the book is, does a dark secret lurk at the heart of the village and are Gus and Greta hiding a secret of their own? Get your hands on this book at the Book Fair to find out….

What are your top Book Fair picks?

Have you read any of Mrs Golding’s recommendations?
