Year 6 were treated to a surprise visit to Number 10 Downing Street at the end of last half term. The amazing opportunity saw some of the Year 6’s go inside Number 10, the home of Prime Minister Theresa May.

We were part of the group that were able to go inside and had the most fun ever. Not many people get to go inside so we were excited to see what it was like.
Some of the things we got to do were:
- see her cat
- meet the front of house staff
- see four pieces of the moon

One lucky person even got to sit on the Prime Minister’s chair! As part of our visit we also went inside the cabinet room and overall it was an amazing experience. We felt so lucky to have been given this opportunity and hope to be able to visit again in the future.

Fun Fact: The house was built in the 1640’s and has previously been bombed during the Second World War.
What would you want to see if you visited Number 10? Do you know any facts about it? Let us know in the comments below.
