Last week, Chase Bridge were crowned champions of the annual Storytelling Festival.

Taking place at Trafalgar Junior School, two teams from the school competed in the competition which saw groups of children from schools across Whitton, Heathfield and West Twickenham tell stories in their own words.

Representing Year 2 were Zara from Birch, Ava from Chestnut and Aiza from Acacia, while flying solo for Year 4 was Joshua in 4M. The teams chose to retell the stories of Supertato by Sue Hendra and Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen.
After fantastic performances, which included lots of remembering, expression and actions, both teams won first place in their categories!

In all, the teams did really well and should be proud of their achievements. Well done, to the storytelling teams!
If you took part which book would you choose to retell?
