Christmas at Chase Bridge

So many things are happening throughout the year but one of the most important and jolly ones of this term is Christmas!

In Chase Bridge, a tree has been put in the school and decorated by teachers (including Santa) with decorations made by the children. Christmas sing songs are happening throughout the school and Year 5 and 6 have been to St James’ church to sing some Christmas songs. We even had a Friday full of Christmas jumpers for Christmas jumper day and of course the Nativity from Year 2. Read on to to find out more about each of these and see lots of pictures.

Christmas Decorations

The teachers had lots of fun decorating the tree with all the decorations made by children throughout the school. So much fun was had, that even Santa decided to join them. If you want to see it for yourself, you can find it in the library.

Christmas Jumper Day

Like lots of people around the UK, Chase Bridge staff and pupils celebrated the annual Christmas jumper fundraising event for Save the Children charity. Polar bears, light up reindeer and Santa himself were only a few of the many phenomenal jumpers worn for the event. The more ridiculous and hilarious the better and some of the best in school included a cunning penguin sitting on Santa’s head. The money contributed helps to give less fortunate children a brighter future.

Year 2 Nativity

Year 2 assembled a phenomenal nativity to perform to the school and parents. All of the Year 2 children adored being part of the play and the parents loved every part.

Overall, everyone from the kids, to the teachers in Chase Bridge are looking forward to Christmas and half term. The countdown is on!
